Warsi Brothers
Warsi Brothers are an Indian Qawwali musical group, consisting of brothers Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi, along with eight accompanists. They are based in Hyderabad
Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi were born in Hyderabad.
The brothers received their training in music from their father and grandfather Padmashri Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi, was the world famous Qawwal and his Qawwali was classical-based. Their father Ustad Zaheer Ahmed Khan Warsi was a National Award recipient, as a Qawwal and Classical Singer.
Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi belong to The Qawwal Bachchey of Delhi Gharana. Descendants of the disciple of Hazrat Ameer Khusro (RH) and Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya (RH). Their ancestor, Allama-e-Mousiqui Mohammed Siddiq Khan Sahab, was the royal classical singer of the Nizam of Hyderabad. His uncle, Miyan Taanras Khan Sahab was the royal classical singer of the Mughal court.
